Privacy policy
Who we are
Sivad Enterprises LLC is a family-operated consulting practice serving the aerospace and defense industry, based in Denver, Colorado. In this policy, “Sivad Enterprises,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Sivad Enterprises LLC. “You” means anyone who visits this website or contacts us through it.
This policy applies to sivadentllc.com and to the personal information we collect when you contact us, schedule a consultation, subscribe to our articles, or otherwise interact with us in connection with this website. It does not apply to information covered by a separate written agreement between us, which is governed by the terms of that agreement.
Sivad Enterprises LLC is the controller of the personal information described here. Where the Colorado Privacy Act applies, we are the controller. Where the CCPA applies, we are the business. Where GDPR applies, we are the data controller.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you send us a message. Your name, work email address, organization, role if you provide it, the content of your message, your indicated timeline, and how you heard about us if you tell us.
When you schedule a consultation. Your name, work email address, organization, the time slot you selected, your time zone, and anything you add in the booking notes.
When you subscribe to our articles. Your email address, and the date, time, and page from which you subscribed, which we keep as a record of your consent.
When you correspond with us. The contents of emails, call notes, and any documents or information you choose to send us.
Information collected automatically
When you visit this website, our hosting provider and analytics tools record technical information including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit, and the website or search that referred you. Some of this is collected in server logs as a matter of course; some is collected by analytics cookies, which are described below and which you can decline.
Information from other sources
If you attend an event where we speak, are introduced to us by a mutual contact, or are identified through publicly available professional sources such as a company website or a professional networking profile, we may record your business contact details in our customer relationship system.
Information we do not want
Do not send us sensitive, proprietary, or export-controlled information, or information belonging to a third party, through this website. The contact form and email are not secure channels and are not approved for any of it. If you need to discuss something sensitive, contact us and we will agree an appropriate method first.
Sensitive information
We do not ask for and do not want government identification numbers, financial account details, health information, biometric data, precise geolocation, or information about race, religion, political opinions, union membership, sexual orientation, or immigration status. We do not knowingly collect this information through this website. If you send it to us unprompted, we will delete it unless we are required to keep it.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use personal information only for the purposes below. The legal basis column applies where GDPR governs the processing; where it does not, the purpose column still describes what we actually do with the information.
| What we do | Why | Legal basis under GDPR |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to your message and answer your question | You asked us to | Legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract |
| Schedule, confirm, and remind you of a consultation | You booked it | Steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract |
| Keep a record of our conversation in our customer relationship system | So that a later conversation does not start from nothing, and so we can tell whether we have already spoken | Legitimate interests in managing an ongoing business relationship |
| Send you articles and occasional updates | You ticked the box asking us to | Consent, withdrawable at any time |
| Understand which pages are read and which are not, in aggregate | To make the site more useful and stop writing things nobody reads | Consent, where analytics cookies are used |
| Prevent spam, abuse, and fraudulent submissions | To keep the form usable | Legitimate interests |
| Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations | Because we have to | Legal obligation |
| Establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim | Rarely, and only if it arises | Legitimate interests |
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file placed on your device by a website. We use them in three categories.
Strictly necessary. Required for the site to function, including security, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off and do not require your consent.
Analytics. Used to count visits and understand which pages are read. These are set only if you accept them. Declining them does not change how the site works for you.
Third-party embeds. Set by services embedded in our pages, described in the next section. These load only when you choose to activate the embed.
You can change your cookie choices at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of every page, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Third-party content embedded in our pages
Some pages include content served by other companies. When such content loads, that company can receive your IP address and may set its own cookies, and its own privacy policy governs what it does with that information.
Scheduling. Our consultation calendar is provided by Zoho Bookings. It does not load automatically. You will see a button reading “Show available times,” and the calendar loads only after you select it. Until then, no scheduling cookies are set.
Forms. Our contact form is served by Zoho Forms and submits directly to Zoho.
Who processes your information on our behalf
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our instructions, under contract, and only as needed to provide their service to us.
Sivad Enterprises runs its business operations on Zoho One. That means Zoho Corporation processes a substantial part of the personal information described in this policy, across several of its products:
| Service | What it processes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Zoho CRM | Name, work email, organization, role, message content, timeline, attribution, and the history of our correspondence with you | The system of record for inquiries and client relationships |
| Zoho Bookings | Name, work email, organization, selected time, time zone, booking notes | Scheduling consultations, and sending confirmations and reminders |
| Zoho Mail | The contents of email correspondence with us, and its metadata | Our business email on the sivadentllc.com domain |
| Zoho Campaigns | Email address, subscription date and source, and whether you opened or clicked a message | Sending articles and updates to people who asked for them |
| Zoho Forms | Everything you type into the contact form, at the moment you submit it | The contact form itself |
| Zoho Flow | Data passed between the above where an automated step connects them | Moving a submission into CRM without manual re-entry |
| Zoho Analytics | Aggregated and record-level data drawn from the systems above | Reporting on inquiry volume and source |
| Zoho Sign | Names, email addresses, signature data, and the audit trail of a signing | Engagement letters and agreements, where used |
| Zoho Survey | Responses to post-training feedback surveys, including any identifying details you choose to give | Measuring whether training worked |
| Website hosting | Server logs including IP address, request time, and pages requested | Serving the website |
Where your information is stored
Zoho Corporation stores and processes data on its own infrastructure, in a data centre region selected when the account is created. Information you give us through this website is therefore held on Zoho systems rather than on our own.
Others we may share with
We may also disclose personal information to our accountants, lawyers, and insurers where they need it to advise us; to a party involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, if that ever occurs; and to law enforcement, a regulator, or a court where we are legally required to do so or where it is necessary to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
International transfers
Sivad Enterprises is based in the United States and its service providers may process information in the United States and elsewhere. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland and you contact us, your information will be transferred to the United States, which does not have an adequacy decision applicable to all recipients.
How long we keep it
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Inquiry that did not lead to an engagement | — |
| Client records during an engagement | For the duration of the engagement |
| Client records after an engagement ends | — |
| Email marketing subscription | Until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record kept indefinitely so we do not email you again by mistake |
| Website analytics | — |
| Server logs | — |
| Signed agreements and their audit trails | For the life of the agreement plus the applicable limitation period |
| Backups | Deleted data persists in backups for a limited period and is overwritten on the normal backup cycle |
When a retention period ends we delete the information or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you.
How we protect it
We use access controls, multi-factor authentication on business systems, transport-layer security over HTTPS, and the security controls provided by our service providers. Access to inquiry and client records is limited to people who need it.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you should not send us confidential, proprietary, sensitive, or export-controlled information through this website.
Your rights
If you are a Colorado resident
The Colorado Privacy Act gives you the right to confirm whether we process your personal data and to access it; to correct inaccuracies; to delete it; to obtain a portable copy of data you provided to us; and to opt out of the processing of your personal data for targeted advertising, sale, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell personal data, do not process it for targeted advertising, and do not carry out that kind of profiling, but the right to opt out stands regardless.
We recognise universal opt-out mechanisms, including Global Privacy Control, as a valid opt-out signal from a Colorado resident’s browser.
If we decline your request, you may appeal by writing to us at the address below with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to an appeal within 45 days and will explain our reasoning. If we deny the appeal, we will give you a method to contact the Colorado Attorney General to submit a complaint.
If you are a California resident
Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, and sold or shared; to delete personal information we hold about you; to correct inaccurate personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, and we do not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics.
An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf if you give them written permission, and we may ask you to confirm that permission directly.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom
Where GDPR or the UK GDPR applies to our processing, you have the right of access; the right to rectification; the right to erasure; the right to restrict processing; the right to data portability; the right to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests; and the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
Everyone else
Wherever you are, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop emailing you. We will do it.
How to make a request
Email with “Privacy request” in the subject line, and tell us what you would like us to do. Write to us at the postal address in the footer if you prefer.
We will acknowledge your request and respond within 45 days. If your request is complex we may extend that once by a further 45 days, and we will tell you if we do. There is no charge, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we will explain the charge before doing the work.
We will take reasonable steps to verify who you are before acting on a request, which usually means confirming from the email address already in our records. We will not ask you for identification documents to verify a request about an email address.
To stop receiving our articles, use the unsubscribe link in any message. It works immediately and you do not need to email anyone.
Children
This website is directed at professionals in the aerospace and defense industry. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The effective date at the top of the page shows when the current version took effect. If we make a change that materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will tell the people affected by email where we hold an address for them. Previous versions are available on request.
